Once seasoned, don't scratch it when washing. If seasoned right, nothing should stick. Trick is, once washing is done, heat it on the stove till the water dries off, not long, then put a couple of drops of vegetable oil in and coat it using a paper towel and let it cool. Do that every time. As it cools, it draws the oil into the cavities you can't actually see.

I got one frying pan, a very old one completely rusty and cruddy. Couldn't clean it no way. So I used a random orbital air sander and many sheets of sandpaper and got down to the bare metal. Seasoned it and eggs just float when frying.
