To mrse (Recipes)

I was at a party Saturday where they had the most delicious salad. It was cauliflower, broccoli, red onion & shredded cheddar cheese. She cut the veggies up real small so it was very good - no big chunks. I asked for her dressing recipe and here's what she gave me: 1 C mayo, 1/2 C sugar, 2 T cider vinegar. I'm wondering if I would thin that with a little milk or will the cider vinegar break down the mayo and make it thinner? I forgot to ask her when she gave it to me!

I emailed you with this question but then I thought maybe you don't check your emails, I don't need 2 replies :-)

Thanks Lisa - I thought that would be too thick if I didn't thin it out! It was so delicious.

I have never thinned mine out as the cauliflower and onion has some juice in them. I do not see why not though. Make this all the time. My daughter in law cuts her up real small and it is always better the next day.

It turned out that I didn't thin mine at all and it was perfect after it set. It was just as good the next day as it was on the first. I had a horrible time finding a decent red onion, though. I searched through the whole bunch and found one that I thought was firm and it was soft after I got it peeled - lost about half of it! It was real nasty in the center.

lot of times I will use yellow onions, or what ever I have on hand.
