My Dad loved this pie.

2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. thick sour cream
1 c. raisins, chopped
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (9") unbaked pastry shell

Beat eggs. Add sugar and beat until light. Whip sour cream and fold into egg mixture. Add raisins, nutmeg, salt and lemon juice. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 20 minutes longer.

Sour Cream Raisin Pie

I haven't even heard or seen Sour Cream Raisin Pie for...........decades! It used to be a popular pie choice. As a young'un, I never cared for it because I wasn't fond of raisins, but I'm wondering if my taste buds might have changed over the years. Especially because of the sour cream part. I don't ever recall Cheese cake when I was a kid and now it is a delicacy and one of the layers of a cheese cake recipe I have is just sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Thanks for this 'blast from the past'!
