I am adding a new board rule as of today:

Any articles or information reposted from another website (Facebook, Twitter, FOX News, WBAY, etc.) is now required to include the website address (URL) of the source immediately preceding your post. For example, if I were to post a portion of the following article on Thunder & Lightning Safety from WBAY's website , here's how it would look:

Thunderstorms affect relatively small areas compared with winter storms. A typical thunderstorm is 15 miles in diameter and, on average, lasts 30 minutes. If you're capable of copying and pasting an article, you're capable of copying and pasting the address as well (you copy/paste the address first, then go back and copy/paste the article second - because the text occupies two different spaces, you cannot copy and paste both items at the same time). If a reader cannot click a link to be taken directly to the source of your information, you cannot repost (copy/paste) that information.

Any articles or information that appears to be a repost that does not include an address will be removed without notice.

To be clear, this is not intended to be a "cite your sources" rule for everything mentioned in discussions on this board, rather, when an article sourced elsewhere is reposted in its entirety as a stand alone post here on NEWMB, the source must now be included.
