wondering (Recipes)

[b]I found this recipe on cooks.com

Banana Muffins
3 mashed bananas
1 cup sugar
1 cup miracle whip
1 tsp. baking powder
1tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
mix altogether and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

This was all it said. I greased and floured my muffin tins. Two pans of twelve. I also added a touch of vanilla and a dash of cinnamon. I said a little prayer and kept a close eye. They came out perfect and are the BEST banana muffins ever!
Now I'm wondering if this could be made into banana bread. Anyone know?[/[/color]b]

If it would make muffins, I'd think all it would take is to put it into a bread pan for banana bread. Just be sure to say your little prayer first. And call me when it's ready. ;-)

I'm sure it would. A loaf of banana bread bakes for approximately 50 minutes. I would begin testing around 45 minutes of baking time.

Thank you GG and Smokey. I'll give it a try.

I made this recipe last week. Shared with some friends and they said it was the best tasting and so moist banana bread they ever had. Mine bread was done at 48 minutes. :-) :-) :-)

Did you make the bread as you said in your post or the muffins? And I just fed the chickens some banana bread worthy bananas.

That is cool to know......I'm really intriguesdwith the mayo in it. I have some other recipes that I throw a little mayo in and it really brings out a 'flavor'.

I now tried the banana bread with the miracle whip. It turned out just as good as the muffins. So moist and tasty. Baked the bread for 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
I have also heard of putting mayo instead of eggs in box cakes. Also meatloaf. Might try one of these next.
