CRANDON – Authorities have released the name of a man who was shot and killed after he pointed a shotgun at a sheriff’s deputy in northern Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice says 31-year-old Brandon Cude was sitting in a disabled vehicle Thursday morning when he was approached by a Forest County deputy who had discovered that Cude was wanted on felony warrants in Texas.

Authorities say the deputy tried to make contact with Cude when Cude pointed a shotgun at him. The deputy fired his weapon in response, killing Cude.

There was a certain point in time where people left common sense behind and replaced it with stupidity . Was this Darwins way of culling the idiots or was it death by cop ? The good part , the very good part is Cude went home that night .

Slight correction (I think). The deputy went home that night, and yes, Cude went home to his final reward for the kind of life he was leading. So thankful the deputy was not injured.

You are so right about society has changed!! Why would ANYONE not listen to a police officer when they say "Drop the weapon", or "Keep your hands in the air" (or against the side of the cruiser). And others wonder why their friend or loved one was "wrecklessly killed".

Why would ANYONE not listen to a police officer when they say "Drop the weapon", etc? Because they have no respect! And not just for cops........these people are selfish and think only of themselves on an immature level. And therein lies the problem with society as a whole. If they have respect in general, they won't be breaking into peoples homes......people never used to have to lock their doors.....hunters used to leave their hunting cabins unlocked so someone in distress while hunting could use the facilities and the person/s were respectful and left it in good condition, not trashed like some break in to do on purpose now. My BIL said when he was in (one of the Asian countries) during the war, a woman could accidentally leave her purse on the door step all night after she unlocked her door and it would still be there in the morning, untouched. Punishments were severe and administered without exception and people respected the law. Now days judges here in America let an illegal get away with murder and lock up a person for 5 years for smoking weed. There is not a consistent standard of rules for ALL people and half of them are let off the hook, anyway. All the special investigations going on in Washington DC is a perfect example. Thank goodness we have a President that respects soldiers and law enforcement and thinks and says good things about people in general. So refreshing after the previous administration.

I had always believed that our teachers were the very best; never the slightest doubt, until some had just admitted that they did not know that the United States had $2 bills.

Yesterday I just got 100 brand new two dollar bills at the Wabeno Bank!!!!!

Also our former president said that a cop had acted stupidly. After saying that, over fifty cops were shot. Our new president has the highest regards for all our officers, since then cop shootings have gone way down.

Teachers can only teach so much , the rest is up to the student . I went to public school , had some good and bad teachers . I turned out ok , never been arrested or went to jail . Teachers give you the tools and knowledge , its up to you to utilize them. It was his choice to take the wrong road in life . This guy , sorry , was just plain stupid . Touch a hot stove your gonna get burned , slam your hand in a door , it's gonna hurt , point a gun at a officer , your gonna get shot . Probably had a really good reason to be hiding out up here . Sorry , I just can't find sympathy for people with no common sense or empathy.
