Saturday, April 24, drove across the bridge in De Pere and the river is open. In the early fifties I walked that ice every day to St Norbert High School.

I think you know it is still February. Mother Nature may change her mind as snow is coming back soon.

Heard one this afternoon on my walk. It was beautiful! Couldn't find him with all the trees around here to get a picture.

That sounds much like the folks in the Netherlands who used the wintertime frozen canals as a primary mode of transportation, thus leading to their dominance in the sport of speed skating.

Remember this old rhyme. Spring has sprung, Fall has fell, Winter has come,

Colder than usual.

looks like we dodged a big storm today, going right below us......Saw a couple Cranes yesterday, so maybe we'll have an early spring.

Still waiting here. Always wondered what robins eat when the worms and bugs arn't out yet. Other years I see them picking the little apples off the flowering crab apple tree. I tasted one, holy cow, the worst thing ever! Somebody told me they like dried fruit. Got some dried cranberries. I like them, so maybe the birds will.
